New Features
- Push notifications — On Android the app receives alerts sent from the platform even in the background, and registers the phone automatically on sign-in.
- Send photos from the tasks screen — Photos can be taken and uploaded from the tasks tab, with a category, tied to the position and the date, with upload confirmation and a warning if it fails.
- Language picker inside the app — The language used to follow the phone. It can now be changed from settings without touching the system options.
Improvements
- Warning after a long stretch with no internet — The app detects the lack of connection, explains it on screen and follows up with a notification. Meanwhile the service keeps storing positions to upload once you reconnect.
- PIN: validated format and automatic migration — The format is checked on creation, PINs saved under the previous system migrate on their own, and there is now a dedicated screen to set it up.
- Warning when background location is denied — Without that permission tracking stops as soon as the app closes. That is now explained on the spot instead of failing silently.
