Common issues

Device sends status, but not GPS coordinates

This usually happens with devices using the GPS103 protocol (port 6001). The fix is to send a command to activate location reporting: fix060s***n123456 (where 060s is the interval between messages, *** tells the device to keep sending locations periodically, and 123456 is the default password).

TK103 devices use an identifier different from the IMEI

Devices using the TK103 protocol (port 6002) send a 12-digit identifier instead of the full IMEI. It usually corresponds to the last 11 digits of the IMEI plus a leading zero. For example, if the IMEI is 123456789012345, the identifier would be 056789012345. The simplest fix is to register the device twice: once with the full IMEI and once with the 12-digit identifier.
