[ CHANGELOG ]MINOR

v4.9.0

// NEW FEATURES15
  • Live camera video

JT/T 1078 cameras and Howen recorders are watched live from the device, the map, Multi-camera and a recent alarm (Live button). You change channel inside the viewer, pick Real-time or Compatible (it switches to Compatible on its own if the camera sends H.265) and the viewer says why a stream did not start. Each channel shows its name and role, windows can be minimised without stopping the video, and the video keeps playing when you switch tabs.

  • Several people on the same camera

Several people can watch, listen to or change the quality of the same channel without cutting each other: the camera stops when nobody is watching, only one person talks at a time, and the limit of open videos counts channels, not windows.

  • HD/SD without cutting the video

Quality changes while you watch, without closing the video, if the camera supports it; if not, the video reloads for a moment. The admin can hide the HD/SD selector in Plugins.

  • Listen to the cabin

Press Audio in the viewer: if the camera sends sound inside the video it plays from there, and if not it opens Listen on its own; you do not choose. It also works on recordings, more camera audio formats are supported, and Audio is hidden if the camera has no microphone. The admin can turn off camera audio in Plugins.

  • Talk to the driver

Talk sends your voice to the cabin speaker, one person at a time. It is its own plugin: it is enabled with the license and the admin chooses in Plugins whether to offer it. Without it, Talk does not appear anywhere and Listen does not change.

  • Two viewer designs

The viewer has its controls over the image by default (they hide while the video plays and the mouse is away). With a plugin enabled by the license, it uses bars above and below the video instead.

  • Cameras page

New Cameras entry with its own page: Tracking (map, device card and all its cameras), Live with 1, 4, 6 or 9 cells mixing devices, Recordings on a timeline, camera Events and each device's Settings. It has favourites, a filter for devices with a camera alarm today, capture and record per cell. It needs the Cameras module permission.

  • Recordings on the device

The recordings stored on the camera are listed and play in the browser, with sound if you want it. A download continues on its own, is followed from its own panel and waits its turn in the video queue. AVI recordings are converted the first time you open them. Asking the camera for a file needs the video edit permission.

  • Camera events with video

Camera alerts (ADAS, DMS, BSD, crash and fatigue) fetch the clip of that moment from the right channel, with photos, by default; the option is in the alert Type tab and camera faults do not ask for a clip. The event shows a thumbnail and length, whether the video is waiting or missing, the attached file, and when the alarm starts and ends. If the video did not arrive you can ask for it again once, and alert popups and the top banner can show the video.

  • Camera photo and gallery

Take photo asks the camera for a picture from the device, the Cameras page or the gallery, even without the video plugin, up to 10 photos per minute per device. Photos and videos uploaded by cameras sit in the device gallery, the device list can be filtered by "Has camera", and camera FTP accounts can only upload files.

  • Sensor icons by sensor type

In Administration → Sensor icons each icon can be assigned to a sensor template. On/off types (ACC, ignition, engine, door, seatbelt…) take one icon for On and another for Off; battery and GSM take one per level (0%, 1-20%, 21-40%, 41-60%, 61-80% and 81-100%); the rest take a single icon. Every sensor of that type, on every device, shows it on the map and in the apps without editing each sensor. An icon chosen in a sensor's mapping takes priority. Each template and state takes one icon: templates already in use are not offered again.

  • GPS connection and disconnection time

Two new reports in the Device status group: «GPS connection time» and «GPS disconnection time». Each one gives a row per stretch with start, end, duration and minutes, plus the number of times, the total time and the percentage of the period; «In progress» marks the stretch that is still open. Use them to show a customer when their unit was offline and for how long. Available in HTML, PDF, Excel and CSV. Connections that already ended are deleted with the same days as the rest of the history; one that is still open, or that ended inside those days, stays.

  • Placeholders and translations in email and SMS templates

In Content → Email templates and SMS templates the editor has two tabs: Placeholders (filter and click to insert at the cursor) and Translations (search a phrase, insert [trans:key], and see how each language of your customers will read it). A phrase with :days is filled from the template's [days] placeholder. The list shows the type and the title in your language; the internal name and the saved title stay in the tooltip. SMS is written as plain text.

  • Push notification templates

Content → Push notification templates sets the title and the text of each push the app receives, the same way as email and SMS. A manager can keep their own copy. SIM and beacon notices are hidden when that module is off. If a line would go out empty, it is left out.

  • Own notices for an expiring SIM or beacon

An expiring or expired SIM (SMS and push) and an expiring or expired beacon (email, SMS and push) use their own template. Before, they went out with the generic alert template. They do not appear in the list when that module is off.

// IMPROVEMENTS13
  • Search in Main server settings

At the top of Main server settings there is a search box: it leaves only the matching fields and cards.

  • Position and history limits from the web

New Positions & history card in Main server settings: maximum days for history and reports, max speed, how often an unchanged position is saved and how long a queued command stays valid. Before, they could only be changed on the server.

  • Three new settings in Plugins

Save cell tower data, Position without GPS at the last valid point and Alerts only on assigned devices can now be turned on and off in Plugins.

  • Map tab controls

With the tabs at the bottom of the map open, the settings gear is inside the box in every design and opens Settings on the Widgets tab. Natural, TrackeraX, Kiosk and Monitor also have minimize; in Kiosk and Monitor a button stays to open them again.

  • Webhooks and FTP only to public addresses

Alert webhooks and FTP report delivery only go to public internet addresses and webhooks no longer follow redirects; the administrator can still use internal addresses.

  • Device list

The address is requested with the Search address link instead of loading on every refresh, the Standby filter is removed (it did not filter), Stopped no longer includes offline units, and the list keeps the selected unit when reloading and the search when changing pages.

  • Unit changes on the open map

Changing a unit's name, icon or expiration date, or activating or deactivating it, shows on the already open map without reloading.

  • System Status warns in time

A disk above 95% or set to fill up within 7 days shows as Critical and sends an email, the health email is retried if it fails and a repeated outage notifies again.

  • Back to the requested page

If you open a link without being signed in, such as a checklist link, you return to that page after signing in.

  • Connected without GPS status in filters, dashboards and alerts

The Connected without GPS status can now be picked in the status filter of the list and of the API. It has its own box in the Overview and in Devices on the dashboard, its own slice in Activity, and its colour is set in the Overview. Those devices no longer trigger the Offline duration alert or show in the reports of devices not reporting. The list shows the time without GPS in bold and the API returns no_gps in the light responses.

  • Clearer sensor type names

The sensor template list is in alphabetical order, and the Spanish names were corrected: Contador, Conectado a corriente, Apertura/Cierre de puerta, ACC ON/OFF, Ignición ON/OFF, Motor ON/OFF, Tacómetro and Equivalencias for the mapping box. In English: Engine ON/OFF, External battery and Harsh braking.

  • Parking mode with the same P as the app

The map list uses the same square with a P as the app. Faded means off; full colour means on. What you switch on in the app shows in the web, and the other way around (the web list refreshes by itself every 30 seconds). The notice says the vehicle left the safe parking spot.

  • Quick actions use the menu names

The most visited screens in Quick actions show the same name as the side menu. Before, several cards showed the English route name, such as Admin Dashboard Index.

// FIXES102
  • Shifted times in history when a device empties its memory

The automatic device clock correction no longer moves the positions a device stored without coverage to the current time. Before, a device with a correct clock could be marked as skewed and in the morning the history jumped between the night location and the current one.

  • Sign in with emails that have ñ in the domain

You can now sign in from a phone browser or the app with emails that have ñ or accented letters after the @. Before, the phone converted that part of the email and sign-in failed.

  • New map works like the classic one

With the new map, devices slide again when they move, the X on an aircraft popup closes it, the map does not rotate in 2D, device groups and the trail look like in the classic map, the map-failed notice only fires for the base map, and the history player, the history list, the EcoDrive heat map and cancelling a route edit work like in the classic map. Yandex opens OpenStreetMap in both maps.

  • Safer sign-in

The link to verify the email or phone is signed and lasts 7 days; the app recovery code expires after one hour; “Forgot password” requires a strong password; after 10 wrong passwords that email or phone cannot sign in for 15 minutes, without revealing whether the account exists; the two-step verification code is only accepted on its own screen and with an attempt limit; and Microsoft sign-in checks that the return belongs to the same session.

  • The app follows the sign-in rules

The app sign-in applies the sign-in methods allowed to each user and their access hours, and accepts the phone number when sign-in by phone is enabled.

  • RFID cards of managers' and administrators' drivers

The card or key of a driver created by the manager's manager or by an administrator changes the vehicle's driver again.

  • Chat with view permission

With the Chat (View) permission conversations open and can be read; writing and starting a new one still needs Edit.

  • ECM speed on the map

Devices that take their speed from the ECM sensor also show it on the map and in the app, not the GPS speed.

  • The API Gateway password is kept

Saving Settings without typing the API Gateway password again no longer deletes it.

  • Fix the email or phone when verifying

If you mistyped the email or phone, you fix it on the same screen that asks you to verify it and a new notice is sent; before, you had to ask the administrator.

  • Read-only credential without account changes

Someone signed in with a read-only secondary credential no longer changes the owner's settings, design, language, map or profile, nor cancels queued commands, sends templates or creates and deletes services, and no longer sees add and edit buttons; the demo account simulates API Gateway commands instead of sending them.

  • Current password when changing it

When the server asks for the current password to change it, it is now checked (before it gave an error and could not be changed); with a secondary credential it is that credential's password.

  • Call action from the events table

The events table offers Call action on each row to whoever has that permission.

  • Default plan protected

The default plan cannot be deleted, not even with plans turned off; if it is missing, user sign-up keeps working without a plan.

  • Device plans and sensor groups

A device plan can now be deactivated, and a sensor group with a disabled type no longer blocks adding the device.

  • Alarm and position from the app

Arming or disarming the alarm and requesting a device position send the command again; before they always failed.

  • Current driver when drivers change

When another driver gets into a vehicle or the user is removed from the device, the previous driver no longer shows that vehicle and removing them no longer leaves the new driver out.

  • Exported history

The GPX carries the real altitude, the CSV no longer cuts values with “:” and the KML accepts names with symbols; an invalid format warns.

  • POIs and geofences

The Visible switch of the POI table works, re-importing a CSV no longer duplicates points, a geofence group can be left empty and the EcoDrive detail opens faster.

  • Tasks

A task with a wrongly filled custom field is no longer half created, and an unknown status or priority is rejected instead of breaking the list.

  • More permissions respected

Beacons, remote configuration (APN data), assigning users to devices (with their quota), expenses and showing or hiding POIs, geofences and routes require their own permission.

  • Public card

The card created automatically starts inactive with a random address, stops showing if the owner account is inactive or expired, and the editor respects the Public card permission.

  • Reports

With Reports (View) the window opens, the period is one year at most, a text starting with = no longer opens as a formula in Excel and expired devices are left out of the report.

  • Routes

Unticking all the devices of a route removes them, and a very long route is no longer saved broken.

  • Alerts with custom events

With continuous duration and several events, the alert notifies again: the time runs while any of them holds.

  • Share by alert

Each recipient gets a single link per alert and unit, reused while it is still valid, with a maximum number of recipients.

  • Maintenance services

A service by days asks for the last service or the expiry date, the date no longer shifts a day when editing in American time zones and the notice is not sent twice.

  • Alert period on a unit

If the end date is before the start date, it warns instead of leaving the alert unwatched.

  • Sharing routes

The units of a route link follow the route: if it moves to another vehicle the link shows it, and if the route is deleted they stop showing.

  • Dashboard: distance travelled

The distance is shown in your unit and days start at midnight in your time zone, also in the CSV.

  • Chat

Opening a conversation from the list also loads the older messages when scrolling up.

  • A user's API Gateway (administration)

Saving without typing the password no longer erases it.

  • Driver app

It does not sign in with the device inactive or expired, or if its user is inactive or expired.

  • Phone notifications

The app can remove its token on logout to stop receiving notices of that account.

  • Microsoft and Google sign-in (administration)

“Test config” tests what you type (in Google, the real ID and secret), the Azure secret no longer shows in the field and email and phone cannot both be turned off.

  • Databases (administration)

Editing a database without typing the password again now works.

  • Custom forwarding

All positions of the batch arrive, not only the first.

  • Alerts: ignore repeated notifications

“Ignore notifications if repeated in minutes” now also works for ignition, unplugged, fuel and start of movement (filter).

  • Geofence alerts with a schedule and movement duration

Geofence entry with a schedule no longer notifies every day if the unit was already inside, and movement duration no longer notifies on every position.

  • Email and phone verification

If the server requires it, the app and the API also require confirming the email or phone.

  • “Renew SIM expiration” plugin

It now works: when the unit is renewed, the SIM expires on the same day.

  • Server logo

If the new logo cannot be used, the previous one is kept.

  • Language of notifications and reports

Alert emails, SMS and notifications and scheduled reports come in each user's language, not the server's.

  • Device import

The preview flags IMEIs or SIMs repeated in the file and counts the quota of all rows.

  • One session per user

The last session opened is the one that stays: a lost session no longer locks the account.

  • Generated passwords

“Autogenerate” always creates a valid password, and when editing a user it requires emailing it.

  • Users and managers (administration)

When someone loses the Manager group, their users move to that person's manager; promoting to manager shows the new group's permissions; editing the client's company no longer renames a shared company.

  • Days left

During the grace period they show as negative, in the profile and in the app.

  • Sensor groups without duplicates

Applying a group again no longer repeats sensors and, if the unit already has a single-type sensor, that one is skipped instead of blocking the save.

  • Editing API Gateway command schedules

They can be edited without deleting them, the changed message is saved and the window no longer opens empty the second time.

  • Queued command

The widget and the app say the command is queued when the unit is offline, instead of “Command sent”.

  • History complete to the end

The last stretch of the range now shows in the route, exports and reports.

  • More reliable history exports

If the file cannot be written a notice shows and no partial file is downloaded; the GPX uses the standard time and the CSV opens in Excel without running formulas.

  • Consistent status counters

Expired or deactivated devices no longer count as online: they count as offline, as the map shows them.

  • Lost connection notice

If the map loses its connection to the server it shows a fixed notice and no longer turns the whole fleet offline.

  • Full KML and GeoJSON import

All folders and subfolders, every polygon or line of an item and polygons with holes are imported; routes without a style come out blue.

  • Delete confirmation

Deleting a POI, geofence or route from its three dots asks for confirmation and warns if it fails.

  • Daily report with «Today» at 00:00

It no longer arrives empty: it sends the whole previous day.

  • Checklist signature

Changing a result after signing removes the signature; a checklist with no activities cannot be created or signed.

  • Checklists: reset and notes

The daily archive uses the service owner's time zone and notes are saved when you leave the field, also if signing is refused.

  • Services by "logical" engine hours

With the engine hours sensor in logical mode, the hours left go down and the notice arrives.

  • More reliable chat

No false sending error, messages with the conversation open are marked read, the badge shows with 10 or more unread and the conversation refreshes even if real time fails.

  • Shared links

An open shared map warns when the link expires, is deactivated or deleted, and removes the vehicles you stop sharing.

  • Dashboard: more accurate distance

It calculates the devices that reported most recently, compares with the same part of the previous period and shows "No data" if a calculation fails.

  • Real notices when an email is not sent

Client creation, credentials and password recovery warn when the email does not go out.

  • Brand in emails and public card

The verification email, broadcasts, the app recovery code and the public card now carry the manager's brand.

  • Evidence after an IMEI change

Changing a camera device's IMEI keeps its events' videos and merges the folder even if it already existed.

  • Device search in mapping

An integration's device picker searches all the client's devices by name or IMEI.

  • Restart the GPS service from the classic designs

In Basic, Tabs, Kiosk and Monitor the Restart GPS service option now restarts instead of opening an error page.

  • Custom events with the same time

Two different custom events of the same alert that arrive with the same time both fire.

  • Stripe payments no longer stuck halfway

If the payment was charged but the page was cut off, the plan is activated automatically within a few minutes.

  • Device expenses: correct date range

The expenses report now filters by your local time: early-morning expenses are no longer missed or added.

  • Secondary credentials: remove «Read-only»

When editing a credential you can now untick «Read-only» without deleting and recreating it.

  • Report totals that add up

Average speed per driver and the footer of «Overspeeds / Geofences» now match the rows.

  • Fuel thefts and fillings

With change-based detection, quick thefts, those still open when the report ends and those split by a 0 reading are no longer lost; with two tanks both show.

  • Overlapping geofences

Leaving a geofence no longer closes the stay in an overlapping one.

  • Sensors without decimals

They are rounded instead of cut: 7.9 shows as 8.

  • Sensors with mapping

Readings that match no mapping row show their value instead of a blank.

  • Sound alerts without popup

They play and appear in the Events tab even with the popup turned off.

  • Live connection status

A unit that stops reporting turns offline on the map and list with the right color, as after reloading.

  • History

The Data log loads with the searched period, clicking play twice no longer speeds up playback, the speed legend uses your unit and a position's popup shows its sensors.

  • Monthly scheduled commands

With day 29, 30 or 31, shorter months run on their last day instead of skipping a month.

  • Expenses

Editing an expense keeps its type.

  • Renewing with plans off

An expired client no longer gets stuck in a redirect loop: the session closes with the notice, and the Renew button is hidden when there are no plans.

  • Weekly reports on the right day

In time zones west of UTC (the Americas) the weekly report is no longer sent a day early.

  • Verification and two-step together

With email or phone verification and two-step verification on, you can set up or type the code before verifying, without loops.

  • Payment page of a paid order

The payment page of an order already paid no longer shows the card or lets you pay again.

  • Take photo in the gallery

The gallery Take photo button now activates on devices that support photo requests.

  • More accurate route runs

A device slightly outside the corridor no longer cuts the run and counts as a deviation.

  • Custom fields with accents

Lists whose options have accents, ñ or capitals (Sí, NO, GPS) now save the default value.

  • Popups by plan

The Plan condition now reaches the users of the chosen plan and shows its name, and deleting one no longer deletes others. For popups saved earlier: choose the plan again and save.

  • Faster device list

The ungrouped devices count no longer lags on accounts with thousands of devices.

  • Engine hours, fuel and odometer reports

Daily engine hours and Fuel flow by day no longer add the whole counter on the first day, sensor engine hours no longer jump on the first reading or drop after a reset, Activity summary with odometer no longer counts the distance twice and an odometer reading of 0 no longer skews the difference.

  • Speed, stop and event reports

Stops of 24 hours or more no longer reset to 00, Overspeed (per vehicle) and its summary apply the alert limit correctly in miles, without ECM data the GPS speed is used instead of 0, Overspeed (ECM speed) shows the real maximum GPS speed, the road limit is matched to its own point, Alert events by device includes sub-users' events and Installation data of devices not reporting shows the installation and SIM dates.

  • Reports that no longer fail

Fuel flow: period total and Loading/unloading events no longer give an error, a failing scheduled report no longer stops the others and leaves the reason in the log, and a server without FTP support shows a notice.

  • Notifications and scheduled commands without repeats

An alert no longer notifies twice when the server processes events in parallel, and a scheduled command is no longer sent twice or skipped.

  • Alerts that follow their settings

A late position no longer creates false geofence entries, exits or route deviations; Movement duration respects its zone and active period; assigning a driver by hand only fires that driver's alerts; and an alert whose type is no longer available shows a notice instead of changing type when saved.

  • Camera videos

Requesting recordings from the app or with a scheduled command uses your local time, an event keeps showing its video after the clip is converted, and an interrupted conversion no longer leaves a broken video.

  • Domain certificate

A renewed certificate takes effect immediately; before, browsers could keep seeing the expired one.

  • Sensor settings that are saved

“Allow null values” is now saved (Text, RFID, Satellites and logical), minimum and maximum accept negatives and an inverted scale, and opening Edit sensor no longer unticks “accepts empty”.

  • Icon picker in sensor mapping

Choosing the icon of a mapping row no longer shows an error, the icons appear every time it is opened, and it says when there are none yet. A sensor icon is uploaded one file at a time and can be edited without replacing its image.

  • Real time on every domain

Notifications, chat, geofence changes and the closing of live video now arrive instantly on each brand's own domains (Administration → Domains) too, not only on the server's main domain.

// DEVICE SUPPORT3
  • Video on Howen recorders

Howen MDVRs get the same as a JT/T 1078 camera: live view, Multi-camera, recordings, alert video, photo, audio and Talk.

  • Jimi cameras

JC270, JC261P and JC400P send their alarms and photos. Drowsiness, distraction, phone, smoking, covered camera, SD card and ADAS warnings from Jimi cameras arrive as camera events with their own alerts. JC261 and JC400 have Take photo in their command menu, and Jimi dashcams upload photos, clips and their recording list on port 6267 (protocol jimiphoto under Tracking ports).

  • BSJ cameras: days with recordings

On a BSJ camera, the date picker in Cameras, Recordings marks the days of the month that have recordings on the card.
